So as I sit here in my far too uncomfortable chair and prepare to write my first Blog on this site, I am asking myself – How do I wish to define this Blog?

Named after Thomas Jefferson – I believe in what the Founding Fathers fought for and wrote about. Wishing we could find that courage today in our leadership, and in our families, friends,  neighbors, and  yes, even strangers.

First and foremost, I wish to rail against bad and corrupt government, bad policies and bad politicians. Having worked with the government for almost ten years, I have witnessed many things that should put people in jail and ruin businesses, along with making Joe Taxpayer lose faith in their governing bodies.

Secondly, I want to stand on my soapbox preaching about what I see wrong with businesses today, and their Corporate Governance and ethical/moral bankruptcy.

Finally, none of the above can happen without the full complicity of man’s weaknesses with greed, power, and corruption. Pondering these trappings from several different viewpoints, including the human side, existential, spiritual, and moral dilemmas that make some choose very, very badly with no regard to the most basic qualities and expectations of a civilized society.

Now this would make most people run screaming with blood shooting out of their ears and from behind their eyeballs in a massive aneurysm, curled up in fetal position on the floor sucking their thumbs, or going back to their usual positions of mind-numbing sedentary Barcalounger-prone positions while watching American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.

To balance this barrage of cynicism, I will add additional humor, happy thoughts, and stories; as well as commentaries from other authors as I see fit to the relationship and theme of this blog.

Everything I publish will be a fact-checked truth or it will be stated as an informed opinion; one or the other. Fact checking will be done methodically in this order: Governmental websites (Federal, State, Local), Historical Encyclopaedia, College and University papers and studies, Legitimate news sources, and finally with the least of substantive authority – the Web.

Hopefully, some will enjoy my rants, and exposing of the massive illegitimacy and defrauding of the American People.
